My paintings mostly depict close up studies of flowers, wildlife, animals and birds in a semi-realistic, illustrative style. I work mainly in oils or acrylics using a vibrant, bold palette. A large part of my art features bees which I have become very interested in, their relationship with flowers, how they work, collecting pollen and nectar, which plants they like.

I have learnt so much about the world of bees by producing these paintings – including all the different species, how hard they work and the astonishing teamwork of honeybees. These amazing little creatures are so important for our planets’ ecosystem and in turn our wellbeing.
